Ho Chi Minh City (or Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh in Vietnamese) was formerly known as Saigon, or Sài Gòn, before the reunification of North and South Vietnam. It is now the largest city in Vietnam.
You can experience the (in‐)famous flood of motorbike traffic here, but you can also avoid the hustle and bustle of the city and retreat into quiet old alleyways. Despite the rapid modernization as a result of great economic development in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City has always retained an unfading sentiment towards the Vietnam War. This restless city is getting more and more exciting along with the enormous changes happening every day.
