has been living abroad for quite some years by now. I’ve travelled to many different places in the world, too. English was of course one of the best tools I could wield all these while.
As a non-native speaker, however, I always experienced the limitation of my own vocabulary in day-to-day life—I could name everyday objects that I saw, used, or ate in my mother tongue. But I could hardly name them or describe them to the locals or foreigners in numerous occasions! Still, I was quite lucky that the Internet had become much more advanced that I could always search for the words/information I needed.

自己如何努力,却总是会发现自己的词汇量在日常生活中,是如些的捉襟见肘——一些日常见到的、用到的、吃到的东西,却偏偏只懂得它们在自己母语中的名字。要跟当地人或外国人解释?那可真是要大费周章了!还好,现在互联网这么发达,不管有什么翻译上的问题,搜索一下,准会有些头绪的。:^P
最好整理东西了。但凡要到处搜索才能找到的资料,倒不如自己先在这里汇总一下。这还总算是“为民造福”吧。
